These can include balance bikes for toddlers, BMX bikes for older kids all the way up to kids mountain bikes. The biggest question a lot of parents have is what size bike to get their child. This will involve taking some measurements such as inseam and height and matching your child to the appropriate bike size. Check out our Kids Bike Size Guide for a breakdown on finding the right size for your child. Next, think about where your child will be riding. If it's mostly on smooth pavements, a standard kid's bike should suffice. However, for off-road adventures, consider a mountain bike for kids, built with sturdy construction and suitable tires.

Some Lifespan Kids will come with training wheels. These are usually removeable so that your child can progress to freestanding once they build more confidence.

This will depend mostly on your child's size and rate of growth. We have a wide range of sizes to choose from to help you find the best fit, but we can't always guarantee it will be the right size as they grow.
